What Is The Process For A Commercial Glass Replacement?
Before any commercial glass replacement works take place, we attend site to carry out a pre-lim survey. This allows our team to confirm dimensions, review the defective glass specification and assess the safest method of access for the works.
- Site Survey & Glass Identification: We measure the defective unit, review available O+M information and confirm the existing glass specification wherever possible.
- Specification Matching: We look to match existing units where possible, using our supply chain to source suitable alternatives if the original glazing is no longer available.
- Access Planning: We select the safest and most practical access method for the site, which may include rope access, mobile floor cranes, self-erecting tower cranes, glazing robots or specialist glass suction lifting equipment.
- Safe Delivery & Handover: We complete the replacement using site-specific RAMS and hand the area back safely, with the aim of minimising disruption to building users.
If the existing glazing is unavailable, we can provide alternatives that offer a close match in both performance and appearance.
